Summer Camp 2008

Parkwood Farms Therapy Center, Inc. offers a unique summer camp that teaches basic horse care and riding skills, as well as stable management, arts and crafts, and nature and conservation studies. Our camp is a great learning experience and a lot of fun for all children, both neuro-typical and those with special needs. Our regular camp sessions are all-inclusive for children ages 8-13* years old. The camps will focus on sensory and social skills and a program for the Scouts in attendance can work towards their Horsemanship badge. This is a hands-on camp that requires full participation from all campers. Kids will learn valuable friendships and safety skills. They will build lasting memories of the Summer of 2008 and the programs available at Parkwood Farms.

What You Can Expect

You can expect your child to come home every day telling you stories about the great time he/she had at camp. Expect your child to make lots of friends of all kinds and abilities, including the four-legged kinds. Expect them to get a little dirty, but full of smiles and enthusiasm.

On the last day of the camp session, all family and friends are welcome to stay during the camp hours so campers can introduce you to their friends, horses and the staff and show you what they have accomplished.
